Dear Friends and Customers.
I am honored to announce my nomination as a candidate in The Man & Woman of the Year Campaign for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime to help the more than 912,000 Americans who are living with blood cancers. The Central Pennsylvania chapter of the LLS launched this campaign on February 25 and it runs through April 22. Our team, PAWS for a Cure, has set a fundraising goal of $15,000. Every penny raised will go directly to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in support of its mission to cure blood cancers and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
On Sunday April 11, 2010, our team, PAWS for a Cure, will be holding a dog walk to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The walk will take place at City Island Park in Harrisburg from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Please stop by the store to register or email Kristen at klzell@epix.net to receive your materials.
We will have lots of great prizes and giveaways. All friendly four-legged friends are welcome! One grand prize of FREE PET FOOD FOR A YEAR* will be given to the walker who raises the most sponsorship dollars! All other walkers who raise $100 or more will be put into a drawing for two more prizes of FREE PET FOOD FOR A YEAR*! Drawing will be held April 21, 2010! Registration is $20 and the deadline is April 5, 2010. Registration fee will be waived if walker raises $100 or more!
If you can’t attend the walk, you can show your support with a tax-deductible donation. Your donation will help the LLS to fund critical research in the fight against blood cancers and continue to provide outstanding patient services. Please make checks payable to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and mail them to Abrams & Weakley, 3963 N. 6th St., Harrisburg, Pa 17110.
